Sunday, June 17th
5th ANNUAL FATHER'S DAY LOBSTERFEST
Rosedale Farms and Vineyards

A traditional New England Lobster Bake featuring Chef Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering and Events. It just so happens to be Fathers' Day so bring the family, enjoy live music by Shiny Lapel Trio, and crack a few claws.

This event has two seatings - choose a 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM reservation time at checkout. 

The cost for adults is $59 (all-inclusive except for Eventbrite fee) and includes Clam Chowder, Hand-gathered Green Salad, Steamed Lobster, New Hartford Heirloom Potatoes, Steamed Corn, Local Clams, Handmade Chorizo, and Fresh Mussels. 

The cost for kids (12 and under) is $19 (all-inclusive except for Eventbrite fee) and includes Clam Chowder, Hand-gathered Green Salad, Grilled Hot Dog or Hamburger, French Fries, and Lemonade. 

Additional menu items and full bar available for purchase - we take cash or credit for a la carte items.


Limited seating and tables are available under our tent; lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. A valid driver’s license or government issued I.D. is required for the purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages. Max's Catering and/or Rosedale Farms reserves the right to restrict or deny service of any alcoholic beverage at their discretion.
Due to the type of events, reservations to attend are non-refundable; however, if you cannot attend, you may transfer to someone else.

MAIZE: CORN & TAPAS
Rosedale Farms and Vineyards

On our Connecticut Farms, July means corn! Join us on July 13th at Rosedale Farms & Vineyards as Chef Chris Torla of Trumbull Kitchen translates the summer’s most beloved harvest into a feast inspired by the tastes of Spain. Chef Torla, who has cooked alongside Modern Latin all-star Chef Rick Bayless, will draw inspiration from both the cornfield and beyond. Enjoy a multitude of small plates as we pay homage to the golden goddess of the season.  Music by Greg Colossale & Lindsay Semevolos.


Tickets are $99 and all-inclusive except for Eventbrite fee. By purchasing this ticket, you are also making a donation to the CT Farmland Trust.

SAVOY ROAD SHOW: PIZZA & BEER
Rosedale Farms and Vineyards

Savoy Road Show. The Kenny Mehler Band. Craft Brews. Local Wine. Lawn Games.

It's July. It's hot. Catch a breeze and enjoy some brews down at the farm. Savor Savoy Pizza with farm fresh ingredients and other tasty surprises. Sample local craft beers and spirits. Show off your Cornhole skills and hear fine tunes by the Shiny Lapel Trio.  Sunday Funday - Savoy style.

Adult ticket price is $55 and all-inclusive except for Eventbrite's processing fee.  Ticket price includes 1 tasting glass, some of the best beers in the region, plenty of food, yard games, and good music. Cash bar available for wine & cocktails.
Non-Beer Drinker/Under 21 Ticket price is $30 and all-inclusive except for Eventbrite's processing fee. 

We have provided a time frame for this festival - come when you wish.  Limited seating and tables are available under our tent; lawn chairs and blankets are recommended. A valid driver’s license or government issued I.D. is required for entry for Adult ticket holders and no outside beverages may be brought to the farm. A Very Special Beer & Food Pairing Dinner

Local beer is one of those things in Connecticut that we celebrate as much as our local farmers. The abundance of great beer here is almost unmatched anywhere, and we are heading to one of the best for this dinner. This collaboration will bring Chef Hunter Morton together with selections from one of Connecticut's most popular craft brewers, but we can’t tell you who it is just yet!
Wednesday July 18 | 6:00 Arrival | 6:30 Seating
As an extension of our Chef to Farm Dinner series, we are pleased to collaborate with a local small batch craft brewery. Will will be brewing a couple of beers just for this dinner. If you are a CT Craft beer fan - you don’t want to miss this event.
Tickets are $75 (all inclusive except for Eventbrite fee). By purchasing this ticket, you are also making a donation to the CT Farmland Trust.
Brewery and location details to to be announced June 1. (Sorry, the brewery asked us to hold off until then, but we know it will be worth the wait.)
This event will be limited to 70 seats.

DINNER & A MOVIE: SIDEWAYS
Rosedale Farms and Vineyards

On Friday, July 27th, join us for Dinner and a Movie Under the Stars. The film, Sideways. You may have seen it in the theaters, but you’ve never seen it on the big screen in the moonlight! And from Max’s Oyster Bar, star Chef Hunter Morton will be creating a farm fresh menu inspired by California cuisine. 


Our featured musical entertainment for the dinner portion of the evening will be Frank Varela Jazz Guitar and Bass.

Reception begins at 6:30PM, followed by a multi-course tasting menu paired with wine by Rosedale Farms & Vineyards. Complimentary popcorn, cash bar, and other theater treats will be available for sale after dark for the screening, which is slated for 9PM with a runtime of 120 minutes. PACK: a picnic blanket, chairs, or pillow for the film – you will have time to retrieve these before the opening credits. Join us for the ultimate date night!

MAX'S OYSTER FESTIVAL

Sunday, August 5th at Rosedale Farms and Vineyards, we'll host a traditional Oyster Festival featuring Chef Steve Michalewicz of Max Catering and Events, as well as the teams from Max's Oyster Bar and Max Fish. Enjoy live music by Take 2, and slurp some fresh oysters.

This event has two seatings - choose a 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM reservation time at checkout. 

The cost for adults is $59 (all-inclusive except for Eventbrite fee) and includes raw bar featuring 20 varieties of oysters from East and West Coasts, Cherrystone and Littleneck Clams, Baltimore Shrimp plus a variety of oyster specialties including fried oyster po’ boys, grilled oysters, oyster stew, grilled oysters and Savoy’s clam pizza.

The cost for kids (12 and under) is $19 (all-inclusive except for Eventbrite fee) and includes clam chowder, hand-gathered green salad, grilled hot dog or hamburger, fries, and lemonade. 

Cash bar (or credit card), which includes; local craft beers, specialty cocktails, oyster shooters and Rosedale Wines.

A casually elegant home-style dinner on the farm featuring Max’s version of Southern (CT) Hospitality, with local brews, great food and a good dose of Bluegrass.  On Thursday, August 9th, join us for BBQ, Bluegrass & Brews.  Explore hyper-local craft beer and dine on sinfully good BBQ, exquisitely prepared on the farm by Max’s Oyster Bar’s Executive Chef Hunter Morton. ODE TO TOMATOES

and cool completeness.

Neruda's "Ode to Tomatoes" says it best. What can be better than vine-ripe tomatoes fresh from the farm? Only this: Savoy Pizzeria and Max a Mia come together as Savoy Pizzaiolo Dante Cistulli and Max a Mia Executive Chef Stephen Lundgren join forces to celebrate the height of Tomato Season. On Thursday, August 30th, we'll enjoy a tasting menu that revels in all things tomato. Our mobile pizza oven, the Savoy Road Show, will be on the farm, as we wax poetic about the perfect summer food: The Tomato. Live music by Take 2.

SEED-TO-PLATE DINNER
Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre



Working with local farmers from the beginning of the season, Max Chef to Farm has selected heirloom varietals from the seed selection at The Heirloom Market at Comstock Ferre in Wethersfield, one of the oldest and most complete collections of seeds available anywhere in the country, to fill out this bountiful dinner. 

On Thursday, September 13th, Chef Hunter Morton of Max's Oyster Bar and MRG Sommelier Brain Mitchell create a food and drink menu based solely around locally sourced produce, specific for this venue.  Reception in the Heirloom Market cafĂ©, hosted by owners Spiro and Julia Koulouris, with dinner to follow under the stars (weather permitting, of course, we'll be indoors if necessary).  Tour the seed store and green houses or shop in the market area while you mingle with local farmers.  Music by BackBeat City Funk.

Celebrate Max’s 5th Annual Hoptoberfest on Sunday, October 7th! Local beer is the best beer! Enjoy live music by Greg Colossale & Lindsay Semevolos and a German inspired spread by Max Catering & Events. We've been pickling all summer in anticipation of this Festival!

Ticket price is $55 + Eventbrite fee and you must be over 21 to attend. Ticket price includes 1 tasting glass, 2 oz. pours of some of the best beers in the world, a tasting guide and all the bites you can eat. A portion of each ticket sold goes to our community partners, Journey Home, to support their fight to end homelessness: journeyhomect.org

As an extension of our Chef to Farm Dinner series, Max Restaurant Group is pleased to continue our partnership with Crystal Ridge Winery in South Glastonbury, to present an exclusive fall harvest dinner, featuring locally sourced cuisine and wines from the winery. With the best view of the Connecticut River Valley, the Wine House at Crystal Ridge Winery is nestled among the vines and orchards of South Glastonbury - a perfect setting for this dinner.
Join our chef and team as we feature a menu designed to highlight the best of the end of what autumn has to offer.
